Data Mining
"Men wanted for hazardous journey. Small wages, bitter cold, long months of complete darkness, constant danger, safe return doubtful. Honour and recognition in case of success".
– Early twentieth century ad placed in London newspaper
We are now able to produce genomic and proteomic data at a rate that defies analysis. The age of the data glut has arrived, byte by byte.
The Entire Human Genome will soon be known, then what? The data has to be organised and analysed to achieve the insight required to advance development to practical applications, or to gain more insight.
There are a multitude of data mining tools that you can use to help you in the extraction, organisation and understanding of the data in a way that will be useful for you.
AMITA will support you on your Data Mining journey.
The journey will start by identifying the questions that answers are required for (or, as the case may be the question space). This is done with your subject matter experts. Once the available data is determined the technology which is used to store this data is examined. Thereafter, a plan on how to retrieve the data will be developed, followed by using the appropriate tools to get the data. Once the data is accessible analytical tools will be used to filter through the data for the nuggets of knowledge that will make a difference to you.
The result of an AMITA Data Mining journey will be a safe and successful return.
